Flooded Lubrication Thrust Bearings

Kingsbury tilting-pad flooded lubrication bearings are the result of over 100 years of engineering, testing, and actual field application.

Flooded hydrodynamic bearings, which are typically split for assembly around a rotating shaft, float the shaft's load on a self-renewing film of oil. The oil film provides shock absorption and helps to control vibration.

Kingsbury flooded tilting pad thrust bearings are used in many different applications including:
  • Hydroelectric generators
  • Turbines (steam, hydraulic, and gas)
  • Pumps (oil, dredge, deep well, boiler, and cooling types)
  • High speed blowers
  • Electric motors
