 PHILADELPHIA, PA, January 11, 2001 – An instructional brochure that provides three proven methods for measuring the clearance of Pivoted Shoe Journal Bearings to assure compliance with application design needs is available from Kingsbury, Inc.The measurement techniques described in the 4-page Clearance Measurement brochure apply to any Kingsbury pivoted shoe journal bearing, either conventional (flooded) or directed lubrication Leading-Edge-Groove (LEG™) bearings. Color photos illustrate the three different measurement methods. The brochure summarizes the recommended use for three types of journal bearing shoe pivots.
