KINGSBURY, INC. EXPANDS ITS JOURNAL BEARING REPAIR SERVICE |
PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 1, 2002 - Kingsbury, Inc. announces the expansion of its Repair & Service Division in Hatboro, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. The R&S Division purchased the building it was leasing in April 2001, and immediately broke ground on a 5,500 square foot expansion project. The new addition was officially in production as of June 1. It has been designed specifically to house a 3,000 square foot area for repair and re-babbitting of journal bearings of all types and brands. The balance of the additional space is dedicated to material receiving, order documentation and offices."We believe we have created the perfect facility to handle journal bearing repair as competitively as anyone else in the industry," noted Steve Burmeister, vice president of Repair & Service. "And because all our work is guided by the same ISO 9001 quality standards as new Kingsbury bearings, our customers can count on exemplary performance of their rebuilt bearings." Burmeister explained further, "Every project is documented thoroughly from the moment it arrives, with record photos, material IDs, tracking and raw material requirements, scheduling, and quality inspections." A Kingsbury repair often outperforms the original bearing. Kingsbury's R&S Division is one of the few facilities that can reverse-engineer a worn bearing to be as good as - or better than - new. In fact, every bearing repaired by the R&S facility is warranted the same as an original Kingsbury bearing, regardless of the original brand. "Customers often come to us because no other shop can handle their unusual requirements." Burmeister said. "We provide a no-cost evaluation of their project with no obligation. This encourages people to send us their work for inspection and recommendation, no strings attached." Kingsbury's R&S Division handles emergency orders as well, since the facility is available for quick response 24/7. In addition to repair, the R&S division is equipped to handle static pouring of babbitt in-house. The R&S Division also handles a wide variety of specialty thrust bearing repair, including very large bearings, runners, housings, and custom retrofits. Field Service staff are available to evaluate bearing problems on-site anywhere in the world, and to provide site supervision services to ensure trouble-free performance. |
